Types of trauma injuries

Blunt impact injury

Facial paralysis treatment from Dr. Julie Shtraks

Besides Dr. Jason Bloom, our team also includes Dr. Julie Shtraks who is dedicated to helping restore facial symmetry and function to patients with facial paralysis. Every patient will be different, and we offer both surgical and non-surgical treatment options for facial paralysis and synkinesis.

Non-surgical options include physical therapy and/or the injection of neuromodulators or dermal fillers. Surgical options include nerve or muscle surgery and adjunct surgeries to improve facial, eyelid, or eyebrow symmetry.

Recovery

Recovery time from facial reconstruction will vary from patient to patient depending on their specific case. Some patients may only require a day or so, while others may need weeks to heal.
