THERMItight: Percutaneous RF treatment

THERMItight is a procedure that can tighten moderately loose skin. Radiofrequency energy produces a profound anti-aging effect by sending heat to the deeper layers of the skin in order to promote collagen production and tissue tightening. This results in improvement and tightening of the skin and soft tissue laxity in the jowls, lower face, and neck.

THERMItight is a single treatment solution offering near-surgical results in some cases — only with far less downtime.

Prior to the advent of THERMItight, results like these were only able to be achieved with facelift surgery (rejuvenation and tightening of the skin and underlying tissues of the lower face, jowls, and neck, leaving you looking years younger). The best candidates for THERMItight are those who still have some elasticity in the neck and lower facial tissues, allowing them to tighten more effectively. Dr. Bloom recommends minimally invasive facial treatments like THERMItight to improve the quality and appearance of the skin’s surface, in turn enhancing surgical results.

What happens during a THERMItight treatment?

THERMItight is an in-office procedure that is typically performed in under two hours, using local anesthesia.

It’s considered to be a micro-invasive procedure, which means there are no scalpels, sutures, or surgery. Because there are no scalpel incisions, there is significantly less discomfort than with more invasive surgical procedures.

A tiny probe is used to administer the radiofrequency energy to specific tissues underneath the surface of the skin, allowing the heat energy to be focused specifically at that level.

Recovery and results

Most THERMItight patients have less than a week of downtime and are able to go back to work even sooner than that. Minimal bruising and swelling for about 3-5 days can be expected after the procedure. Final results are realized after about 4-6 months, when the tissues have tightened significantly.
