For firmer, smoother, more youthful-looking skin without surgery or fillers, Morpheus8™ RF microneedling goes above and beyond regular microneedling. This minimally invasive procedure both remodels the underlying tissue and triggers new collagen production.
All about Morpheus8 RF microneedling
We are very excited to offer Morpheus8 RF microneedling treatments for surface contouring at our Bryn Mawr and Philadelphia area aesthetic center. This advanced skin and tissue remodeling procedure combines microneedling with radiofrequency (RF) technology to rejuvenate the skin by re-shaping underlying tissue and stimulating collagen production. Morpheus offers the deepest fractional technology available, which means that deep layers of skin can be targeted, which produces better results. Morpheus is great for all skin types, and can be used on the lower face, neck, stomach, arms, knees, and thighs.
What can Morpheus8 treat?
- Facial lines and wrinkles
- Uneven skin tone and texture
- Crepey skin

- Sagging skin
How Morpheus8 works
The powerhouse combination of radiofrequency energy technology and microneedling delivers truly remarkable results. This two-in-one procedure means that patients receive the benefits of radiofrequency energy (contouring, skin firming, new collagen production) and microneedling (improved appearance of skin issues such as acne and sun damage) simultaneously.
The Morpheus8 device features gold-plated steel micro-pins that are able to penetrate deeper into the skin for even better results than traditional microneedling. These longer needles allow the RF energy to be administered at different depths, depending on your specific needs.
The RF energy heats up the underlying tissue to kick-start collagen production, while also tightening fibers and contouring fat. This means that the skin becomes more toned and tightened.
We perform Morpheus RF microneedling treatments in the comfort of our aesthetic center using local anesthesia only. Once your numbed and prepped, treatment will begin. The Morpheus8 handheld device includes microneedles that perform at different energies to remodel deep layers of the skin. Depending on your specific aesthetic goals, 1-3 treatments (spaced one month apart) may be needed. During your consultation, we will explain how many sessions you will need.
Downtime and recovery
Morpheus8 is non-surgical procedure, so there is no scarring or much interruption to your day. The majority of patients even go right back to work after their session. Some patients see pinpoint bleeding directly after treatment, but this should stop shortly — typically after about one hour. Your skin may also appear and feel like you’ve been sunburned for a day or so. Be sure to avoid direct sunlight during this recovery time.
